Motivational Monday ~ You create your life through your thoughts

16 Jul

Today’s pearl comes from the wildly popular The Secret by Rhonda Byrne:

What you are thinking now is creating your future life. You create your life with your thoughts. Because you are always thinking, you are always creating. What you think about most or focus on the most, is what will appear in your life.

Like all the laws of nature, there is utter perfection in this law. You create your life. Whatever you sow, your reap! Your thoughts are seeds, and the harvest you reap will depend on the seeds you plant.

If you are complaining, the law of attraction will powerfully bring into your life more situations for you to complain about. If you are listening to someone else complain and focusing on that, sympathizing with them, agreeing with them, in that moment, you are attracting more situations to yourself to complain about.

The law is simply reflecting and giving back to you exactly what you are focusing on with your thoughts. With this powerful knowledge, you can completely change every circumstance and event in your entire life, by changing the way you think.

Another powerful message from The Secret is to focus on what you DO WANT, not on what you DON’T WANT.

Do you believe your thoughts hold this much power over you? I’d love to hear your comments.

Cheers,

Alison Stone

I do believe this is true. I’ve not read the book but I’m a bit intrigued now as I didn’t really know what it was about before. I’ve made it a habit I try to stick to, of not saying, “I’m coming down with a cold” even if I feel like I am. I don’t like to even focus on that by giving it the power of speaking it out loud. Whether it’s silly or not, I’ve been sick a lot less in the past several years than ever before. Just on example, but I do think no matter what, whatever we focus on, we cultivate more of, and I definitely could use less negativity in my life. Hmm, may have to check this book out. Thanks for the food for thought!

I found it to be an interesting book. For me the big thing is to stay away from negative people. They really weigh me down. Here’s to positive thinking!
